The Fisherman

The fisherman,
Came to fish,
Stalking his prey,
From the banks of the canal,
Reflections,
Of the over head limbs,
Of hanging branches,
Loaded with shades of green,
The whispering leaves,
Over the stillness of the calm water,
Patiently,
The heron,
Hunted for his prey,
On his canal,
For the day......

A Journey

A journey,
The path is unexpected every day,
With each foot step,
The imprint is a memory of a past moment,
In time and place,
As the future is in the that footstep,
Of the one,
Taken before....

Widecombe Bay

The path led me to Widecombe Bay,
With white horses racing to shore,
Listening to the roar,
Which one would be the first to shore,
Crashing in to seashore rocks,
Wave spray created by the shock,
With gulls flying in the sky,
Playing with the breeze,
Before they dive,
Surfers on the crest,
Putting their skills to the test,
People on the beach,
Some with dogs,
Off the leash.....

The Hug

To hold you in my arms,
Your head upon my chest,
My heart and mind combined,

As I stare into those eyes,
Not conscious of time,
As the world just passes by....
