I heard my inner voice speak out,

It told me to be free,

Trusting in my instinct,

Questioning my doubts,

Taking time and being patient,

Have faith and hope,

Time will tell,

What will be will be.

Alone and afraid,

Until night has become day,

I have walked with my ghosts of lovers past,

Memories of kisses and caresses,

Sweet fragrances fill the air,

To dream I am not alone,

Is to dream that I am with you.

Guide me on my way, 

Be there when I stray, 

Praise me every day, 

Ignite my passion and help me shine, 

As an honourable man, 

Glowing light for all to see, 

Charming and friendly, 

Help me make friends easily, 

Socially to be adored, 

Keep me honest and true to me, 

Principles and sincerity, 

Proud and honourable as this man should be, 

Just let me be free.

In its glory,

A priceless gift, 

I exist, 

As I go forward to explore, 

Watching as the story unfolds in front of me, 

Capturing every minute is so precious, 

To forge new memories, 

In a state of empathy as I understand the man I used to be, 

The man who lost identity, 

Free now to walk this world unconditionally, 

Unchained from demands of yesterday, 

Set free, 

To be what I want to be, 

Off I go prepared to re-enter the game let the pages be written, 

Let the chapter begin, 

As I stumble through the valley to my destiny’s end

As time slowly goes forward, 

Life goes on as I sit and watch, 

Sedated in this moment, 

Soaring birds swoop on by, 

Safe in sanctuary as the world passes by, 

Not prepared to play the game,

In deep thought on how to go forward, 

Patiently waiting to see what destiny has in store for me, 

A twist of fate and a bit of luck,

As I stand and repair, 

My life that was in despair, 

Fixing my body and soul, 

Learning from the lessons been taught, 

Starting over again in the game, 

Playing my part on the stage, 

Letting the universe dictate my way, 

On a path going forward I will go, 

The future that I don’t know, 

Steadily starts to unfold, 

Filling chapters of my life with the days I have left, 

Memories of days gone by no longer make me cry,

Friends of old and friends made new stand by me as I go.
