A fork in the road,

Parting in kind,

A separation,

Of a heart,

Of a mind,

For each is going in a different direction,

Outcome to be determined,

In time,

Life is a choice,

For the present is the gift,

For it is happiness,

That produces a smile....

That Beautiful Sanctuary

A path to lead us to a place,

That beautiful sanctuary,

Filled with grace,

To meet those we recognise,

Those memories, in our minds,

Remembering the pictures,

Of those times,

All those happy moments,

Which have lasted,

Overtime,

A face is graced with a beaming smile,

Some tears of joy,

Smearing a cheek,

That person brings.....

The World illuminated,

The moon it shone,

A beaming light,

Against the blackness of night,

Emotions stirred,

Reaching their peak,

For some the freedom they seek,

A path for others has been lit,

That guiding way,

Leading to the start,

Something new,

A new day.....

The sun was rising,

As I wake,

Deciding on which path to take,

The chill was present in the air,

Birds were singing without a care,

To gaze upon the naked branches,

Some leaves gently spiralling down,

Forming a carpet upon the ground,

This for the squirrels,

Was a new playground....

The leaves fell down,

Raining golden brown,

To join the brethren, 

On the ground,

To lay there,

Until they rot away,

To become a memory,

Maybe one day,

If others,

Happen to walk this way.....

The Robin Came and Sat By Me

The Robin came and sat by me,

A conversation it was to be,

Sang a song,

The words were new,

Of that person,

I once knew,

Memories sprang to life,

The times we shared,

Brought a smile,

Upon my face,

I knew the day,

Would go my way,

On his way he did fly,

With a chirp of goodbye,

Leaving me with a tear in my eye......

As the morning dawned,

So I sung along,

And the sun it shone,

With golden rays,

It was a perfect scene,

Over the bay,

Then I knew it was going to be,

A wonderful day,

That's when I chose...

To go that way,
