 Memento Mori

A second in a minute, 

A minute in the hour, 

An hour in a day, 

That is what I remember of yesterday, 

The hand on the clock does not stop, 

No pause in reality, 

Time goes forward in so many ways, 

A day in a month, 

A month in a year, 

Another year older, 

As the hands on the clock go forward, 

Time is a healer, 

So they say, 

With hope and faith to guide me on my way, 

Growing older as the clock goes forward learning along the way,
